We recommend you arrive in Slovakia at least one day before the wedding. We will arrange a direct Wedding Coach™ from Bratislava on Saturday morning around 9:30 AM (details TBC!). Alternatively, you can arrange your own transport, for example, there are regular trains from Bratislava to Žilina (2 hours), from where Château Gbeľany is 15 min away by bus or taxi.

If you would like to arrive at Château Gbeľany on the Friday before the wedding day, please let us know!

A few tips and tricks:

• Bratislava and Vienna are the closest neighbouring capital cities in Europe and are about an hour apart by train or bus. For most, the easiest option will probably be to fly into Bratislava or Vienna and continue from there. Bratislava is also close to Budapest (2-hour train) or Prague (4-hour train), so it's easy to make a longer trip out of this and explore Central Europe.
• Bolt and Uber also work in major cities in Slovakia.
• Slovakia is not Slovenia — if your plane is going to Ljubljana, you are going to the wrong country! Unfortunately, Slovakia cannot claim any famous neo-Marxist philosophers or First Ladies of the United States (for now).
• Fruit spirits are very popular here: ask for Slivovica or Hruškovica.
